For many years, the German-American Friendship Association Ilmenau (Deutsch-Amerikanischer Freundeskreis Ilmenau e.V.) has nurtured the special sister-city partnership between Ilmenau and Blue Ash, Ohio. With this website, we want to make our work more visible and create a central place for everyone who is interested — whether association members, citizens of Ilmenau, or friends from Blue Ash.

What you can expect on the website

On our website you will find everything related to the friendship association and the sister-city partnership. From the fascinating history of the partnership, which was officially sealed in 2002, to upcoming dates and events, as well as information about our partner city Blue Ash — this is the place to go.

The site is fully bilingual — in German and English — so that our American friends can easily navigate and stay informed as well.
